The M109A6 Paladin howitzer, a self-propelled artillery piece, is a highly technical weapon system. Though it has the backup equipment to control fires manually, it is computerized on several levels. Another advantage, due to its rotating turret, is that it can fire in any direction very quickly. We can see that advantage here with the turret turned almost perfectly to the rear of the position. Despite all the computers and hydraulics and servos it is still a labor intensive process to make it shoot. Each shell weighs in at nearly 100 pounds and it is a human being lifting the shells.
