The ring

The bride and groom have been very composed during the staid ceremony, but when it comes time to put the ring on the bride's finger, they smile quietly together. They might also be smiling out of nervousness, and not just because of the moment. Usually, the groom has some difficulty getting the ring on the bride's finger, as the clothes she is wearing are bundled about her so tightly that her fingers swell up.
