While the young warriors relax and ham it up for the early photographers, Takeda Shingen, the baddie of the battle, also relaxes. The actor playing Takeda here is actually a city worker--I believe I saw him behind the counter at the municipal gym once.
Much as warriors must have done back then, and most civil servants do today, Takeda is enjoying a cup of beer and a cigarette before the long ceremony soon to come.
