"Aaaahh!" is not the war cry of these warriors, but the sound I am making in trying to beat them across the river so I can turn around and take a photo. One of the favorite moments of the battle is when this war party, out on patrol and returning to find the battle in full tilt, crosses the river bravely and joins the fray. I originally was waiting on the side of the river where they would come out, but was kicked out of the area--twice, after I snuck back in. But there was no way somebody was going to stop me from taking the pic I wanted. I waited with the warriors until they received their cue, and when they did, it was my cue. Not wishing to give away my plans for fear of being kicked out again, I kept my socks and boots on, soaking them and me as I rushed out ahead of the warriors and turned to snap this pic. This band of warriors, so brave and unheedful of the danger, are expected to be the heroes of the day. But do heroes always win the battle?
