I managed to convince my boss that I needed to go to Baghdad to take care of some business--I did, really, but the fringe benefit was hanging out at the pool in one of Saddam's old palaces, watching movies in a real theater, and not getting blown up for a few days. Funny how going to Baghdad was a vacation. Anyway, I visited the people at this combat surgical hospital to say thanks for their treatment of some of our Soldiers who had been wounded. After presenting this certificate of appreciation to these hardworking Soldiers, my friend Don (on the right with the shotgun) and I toured the Green Zone and generally had a good time.
